lecture: harvard chan school of public health

In October of 2025, CMA was invited as guest speakers at the “Philanthropy, Foundations, and Social Impact Week” hosted by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

During the session, we shared the core principles that guide our humanitarian health work: needs assessments, integration within existing systems, sustainability, and meaningful community involvement. Beyond presenting our approach, the event provided an opportunity to engage in dialogue, exchange ideas, and explore how the next generation of public health professionals can contribute to the humanitarian sector.

CMA was represented by our Communications Officer Marijke, alongside Heather, a long-standing and invaluable member of our team, and Kendra, an inspiring alumna of Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health who also previously interned with CMA. Coming together as a team to share our work and values reflected the strong sense of collaboration and commitment that underpins CMA.

For CMA, creating pathways for students to take their first steps into humanitarian healthcare remains a key priority. We believe in fostering engagement early, as we work towards a world where access to healthcare is not a privilege, but a fundamental right.
