CMA participated in the camp’s Vulnerability Committee together with the Greek National Public Health Organization (EODY), UNHCR, and representatives of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum. Within this multidisciplinary committee, a specialized doctor from CMA contributed to the assessment of cases referred by medical, protection, and legal actors working in the camp. The committee reviewed situations where a person’s living conditions were significantly affecting their physical or mental health. Based on these assessments, cases could be recommended for alternative accommodation outside the camp or for transfer to the mainland when specific treatment or support was required that could not be provided on Lesvos.
