Dental health promotion session with iliaktida

This week, we held our first dental health promotion session in partnership with Iliaktida, a Lesvos-based organization supporting people with disabilities and other vulnerable population groups, including unaccompanied minors.

Through our pharmacy and dental programs, this partnership helps strengthen access to healthcare for vulnerable communities across the island. By working together with local organizations deeply connected to the community, we aim to create more accessible and sustainable pathways to care.

As part of the session, our dental team shared practical oral hygiene tips with 10 unaccompanied minors currently supported by Iliaktida. Alongside the educational activities, we also carried out dental screenings to help identify any follow-up care needs and provide early support where necessary.

Beyond promoting healthy daily habits, sessions like these are an important reminder that access to oral healthcare and health education remains limited for many vulnerable communities. Preventive care and early intervention can play a significant role in improving overall wellbeing and reducing longer-term health issues.

We are grateful to begin this collaboration with Iliaktida and look forward to continuing our joint efforts to support the community through practical, community-centered healthcare initiatives.
